We’re proud to share that First Mailing has joined forces with RISE Youth Coaching, a local organisation dedicated to helping young people unlock their potential through personalised coaching and mentoring.
This partnership will directly fund an additional 50 coaching hours per year, enabling RISE to support at least seven more young people as they develop confidence, self-belief, and the tools they need to succeed in work and in life.
RISE has already made a powerful impact in the local community, helping teenagers and young adults rise to the challenges they face and build a brighter future. We’ve been hugely impressed by the outcomes they’re achieving – not only for the individuals themselves but also for their families and, ultimately, for local employers like us.
For comparison, the cost of providing crisis-level intervention for a student can reach £50,000 per year, often taking 12 to 18 months to secure funding. By the time support is in place, the disruption is already significant — for the student, the school, and their peers.
In contrast, youth coaching through RISE can be deployed quickly, costs around £500, and has a strong record of success. That’s just 1% of the cost, with life-changing results.
Stuart Searle, Managing Director of First Mailing, first met RISE through the BIPC Cambridgeshire Jumpstart grant programme in 2024, where he served as a judge. He was immediately struck by the purpose behind the organisation and the passion of its founder, David Duker. The belief in their mission has grown ever since.
